Job descriptionEnsuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyse financial information and summarize financial status. Prepare and present financial reports to management. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documents and explanations to auditors. Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data. Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status. a Diploma / Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field. Minimum 2 years related experience in accounts or related role, preferably in Freight Forwarding, Logistics and / or transportation related industry. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (Cargowise 1) is highly favored. Familiarity with logistics-specific financial best practices and industry trends is an advantage. High attention to details and meticulous. High accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Problem solving skills and ability to resolve. Strong financial analysis and modelling skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of the details, and take pride in delivering on time. Commitment to maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues across all levels at EV Cargo. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good command of English language skills.
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Statutory Financial Reporting :
- Preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for the group of companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
