Job Descriptions

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages to café standards.
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment confidently.
  • Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, with basic knowledge of F&B preparation and service.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the barista station and service areas at all times.
  • Refill and manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, condiments, etc., and perform basic math for cash handling, portions, and recipe scaling.
  • Monitor daily stock levels, forecast demand, and place orders to reduce wastage.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain supplier relationships for cost‑effective purchasing.
  • Assist in daily café operations (front of house and / or back of house) specially café opening / closing duties when required.
  • Support setup and cleanup during events or peak periods.
  • Ensure all daily service tasks are completed according to SOPs, making real‑time adjustments based on operational needs.
  • Maintain flexibility and support the bar, attendants, and kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise and guide student helpers during shifts, ensuring tasks are clearly delegated and completed effectively.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate clearly with both customers and team members.
  • In consultation with the Manager, identify and implement improvements to customer service and operational flow.
  • Perform any other related duties as requested or assigned to you by the F&B Operation Manager / Chief Operating Officer or the Management.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent barista skills, with the ability to prepare a variety of coffee drinks to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of F&B is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Barista preferably in Café or Restaurant.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Have a food handler Food Handler Certificate / Typhoid Certificate and is aware of regulations concerning F&B industry.
  • Punctual, responsible, and detail‑oriented.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, long hours as needed and possess a positive attitude.
