We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Group Internal Audit (GIA) division as an Assistant Vice President, Business Credit Audit.
The Role
- Provide independent and objective assurance that the auditee’s operations are effectively conducted in accordance to established performance standards and best practice.
- Evaluate the management processes, risk management processes, internal control and compliance framework and governance processes and highlight gaps, if any.
- Provide independent and objective assurance on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of system of Internal Control to manage all critical risks.
- Assist Group Chief Internal Audit (GCIA) to identify risks – operational and regulatory compliance – and provide assurance that control measures put in place are effective in mitigating such risks.
- Assist to ensure GIA’s compliance with CORM Framework and with applicable laws, regulations, and policies and procedures.
Job Description
Lead audit assignments for Business and Credit Audit department and responsible for the execution throughout the audit lifecycle including planning, fieldwork, documentation and review, issues and report writing.Able to perform assessment on business risks and the quality of credit appraisal for approved non-retail cases and ensure that credits are granted in accordance with the bank’s framework / policies.Able to perform assessment on credit framework / policies and manuals to ensure regulatory compliance and effectiveness of the overall credit risk management system.Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management processes, system of internal controls, regulatory compliance and governance processes and highlighting gaps and make recommendation.Carry out audit assignment using risk-based audit methodology and ensure compliance with the IIA Standards.Analyse audit requirements and develop / applying data analytics for audit assignments.Coordinate and conduct opening meeting and exit meeting with auditees for each audit assignment.Ensure timely update of audit documentation and evidence in TeamMate software.Track and perform validation on completed action plans for audit findings to ensure appropriate actions have been taken to close the gaps within the targeted timeline.Participate in key Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews and exercise as an independent observer, when required.Participate in key projects such as system implementation projects as an independent observer, when required by the Head, Business & Credit Audit or GCIA.Support Head, Business & Credit Audit or GCIA in executing ad-hoc assignments, advisory review requests and any non-audit assignments.Job Requirements

A recognised degree or equivalents with at least 6 years of relevant working experience in credit audit.Possesses a minimum of 3 years managerial role in credit audit.Preferable with Credit professional certifications or equivalents.#J-18808-Ljbffr
