Position : Mechanical Design Engineer

Headcount : 1

Tenure : Permanent

Responsibility & Authority :

a) To assist Design / Engineering Departmental Head to manage an effective quality system in overall operation in design and development activities.

b) Liaise with customers on any product design requirements.

c) Assist Design / Engineering Departmental Head to develop new products according to customer requirements.

d) Assist Design / Engineering Departmental Head to review product modification to ensure resources optimization, safe & reliable product and cost saving.

e) Responsible for BOM list generation and costing calculation for prototype and new project.

f) Responsible for management of design and development project including liaise with other related departments personnel.

g) Ensure that reliability testing is carried out on selected products per customer request or to meet applicable product safety standard.

h) To establish production methods for products and to prepare preliminary Production Procedures, Operation Instructions, Process Control Instructions, Machine Set Up Instructions and Tooling List.

i) To undertake other duties assigned or directed by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in SolidWorks is preferred, but not mandatory. Proficiency in other CAD software is also acceptable.
