Job Type : Full-time (Monday 9AM – 6PM and Saturday 9AM – 12PM)
Role Description
This is a full-time radiographer role, on-site in Penang. The Radiographer will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The Radiographer will also be expected to collaborate with medical professionals, adhere to medical protocols, and maintain patient records accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient and their clinical requirements to work out which radiographic technique to use.
- Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high quality images.
- Perform x-ray examinations for the patients and other general radiology services as per doctor's instruction.
- Assist the doctor by providing other related X-ray service as per the job requirement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a medical team
- Relevant certifications or licenses in radiography
- Bachelor\'s degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or a related field
- Ensure safety of patients before, during and after the procedures by providing the necessary care and constant monitoring of patient\'s condition.
- Take responsibility for radiation safety in working areas including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors.
- Maintain or perform minor repairs of medical instruments for example when X-ray machine and processor is required or on ad-hoc basis for the maintenance of medical instruments by engaging qualified suppliers.
- Using medical equipment such as X-ray machines or others medical instruments with proper techniques and professionalism.
- Ensure safety precautions are taken and abide by safety rules and ensure all equipment is handled with care according to safety procedures.
- Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging, Radiography, or equivalent, recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).Registered with the Malaysian Society of Radiographers (MSR) and accredited by the Ministry of Health (MoH).Possession of a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic imaging will be an advantage; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.What We Offer
