Overview
We're looking for a proactive Proposals Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation specialising in large-scale industrial and energy projects. You'll play a key role in preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, and supporting contract negotiations that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to client tenders.
- Support bid / no-bid (Go / No-Go) decisions with the Commercial & Regional Manager.
- Review tender documentation, identify requirements, and clarify queries with stakeholders.
- Develop concept designs and coordinate with internal teams for drawings and pricing.
- Prepare cost estimates using data from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify subcontractor scope and maintain communication regarding quotations and timelines.
- Compile complete tender packages, including technical and commercial sections.
- Participate in internal review meetings and secure approvals before submission.
- Lead or support technical and commercial negotiations with clients.
- Ensure smooth project handover to the delivery team upon award.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of company processes and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical / Process, or a related Engineering discipline.2-3 years of relevant experience in proposal preparation, sales, or estimating.Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments preferred.Strong technical and commercial understanding of large capital equipment.Excellent English communication and writing skills (additional languages advantageous).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.Demonstrated teamwork, self-motivation, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with an eye for commercial opportunity.Ability to travel internationally when required (valid passport needed).Health, Safety & Environment

Work Environment
Based in Kuala Lumpur, with occasional travel to client sites and support for regional sales and marketing initiatives.
