Base pay range
rhi is recruiting for a Sourcing Lead – Customer and Products to join our client’s team based in KL, Malaysia on a 12‑month contract.
Contract and Working Hours
- Working hours : 5.00 PM – 2.00 AM Malaysia time (shift allowance provided for US market support)
- Hybrid arrangement : 60 / 40 (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)
- Office closes at 10 PM; candidate must be able to finish shift from home.
- Contract is renewable after 12 months.
The Sourcing Lead supports various businesses within our client, with a range of medium / high complexity sourcing and contracting activities. In addition to sourcing, the role is responsible for developing supplier relationships and identifying value opportunities. Key activities include demand management, definition of sourcing strategy based on a predefined category framework, source selection, contract negotiation, and contract creation & maintenance.

Demand ManagementCase ManagementSourcing StrategySupplier SelectionContractingContract OperationalizationAcross activity sets, it is paramount to ensure that all requests and scopes of work liaise with stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are considered and met.
Drive and manage various sourcing and contracting projects of medium / high spend & complexity.Ensure that business requirements are well understood and properly covered in the sourcing process.Influence business demand where required and possible.Identify value levers and opportunities to maximize value for the client in the marketplace.Develop sourcing strategy in accordance with the respective category strategy.Define market approach and develop source selection criteria based on business priorities and requirements.Manage and coordinate the supplier selection process to secure the most suitable option.Manage all relevant stakeholder and supplier interactions, including senior levels throughout the sourcing project.Negotiate and agree on relevant contract terms with suppliers.Develop and modify contract content based on templates and manage the approval process.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business studies.Procurement‑related professional certification is an advantage.Experience
At least 5 years of end‑to‑end strategic sourcing of services and commodities, drafting and negotiating contracts and legal terms, and sourcing strategy preparation.At least 3 years of category‑specific experience in Marketing, Retail Assets or Convenience Retail.Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and / or industrial environment is an advantage.Global / International exposure – experience working abroad or with multinational companies.Proven record of professional leadership, coordination and mentoring of junior team members.Track record of successful procurement delivery in complex, challenging international environments.Proven experience with contract creation, negotiations and lifecycle management.Strong influencing and negotiation skills.Analytical abilities including marketplace and financial analysis.Effective communication with internal and external partners.Strategic thinking and ability to propose sourcing strategies.Skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (PowerPoint, Access & Excel).Experience working in an Ariba / Salesforce system environment is an advantage.Experience with e‑tools.About rhi
