Job descriptionWorking experience as a Platform Reliability Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer in a cloud operating environment. Excellent DevOps experience (pipeline and automation tools such as Selenium, SOAPUI, Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, etc.). Strong technical and business acumen with ability to lead a small technical team. Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code, server templating, orchestration, configuration management, and provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Docker, Packer, Kubernetes). Ability to code, debug, and optimize code and automate repetitive tasks. Systematic problem‑solving approach, effective communication skills, ownership and drive. Knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby. Strong experience in a CI / CD environment with appreciation of change / version control processes and methodologies. Experience troubleshooting network‑related issues. Good working knowledge of NSX‑T solution and its integration with various Tanzu suite of products. Open to on‑call support rotations and shift work. Right to work in Malaysia. Expected monthly basic salary. Qualifications. Years of experience as a Reliability Engineer.
Overview
Platform Reliability Engineer (PRE) is responsible for engineering, operating, and maintaining GEL’s internal container platform and its supporting infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliability, resiliency, and security. As a Senior PRE within the Clients Infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and operating distributed container hosting solutions using Broadcom’s Tanzu product.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, operate, and maintain the internal container platform and supporting infrastructure.
- Design, build, and operate distributed container hosting solutions using Broadcom’s Tanzu product.
- Ensure platform reliability, resiliency, and security.
- Lead a small technical team.
- Handle platform upgrades, patching, and buildpack management.
- Provide on‑call support on a rotation basis and work shift as required.
