Job Outline :
- Evaluate customer part designs and prepare the DFM documents.
- Develop injection mould tools in accordance with part design requirements.
- Evaluate tool designs for manufacturability, functionality, longevity and prepare the DFM documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers and toolmakers for new tooling and tool modifications.
- Oversee tool trials and validations, analyze results, and implement necessary changes.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of tooling-related issues.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Optimize tooling for cycle time reduction, durability, and ease of maintenance.
- Document all tooling activities, changes, and maintenance records.
- Provide technical support during production start-up and troubleshooting phases.
Academic Qualification & Skill Required :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field.2–5+ years of experience in injection moulding process engineering.2+ years of experience in tooling engineering with a focus on injection moulding.Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and tool construction.Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autocad, or similar).Knowledge of materials used in mould making and part production.Experience in GD&T, PFMEA, and statistical analysis tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Experience with hot runner systems, multi-cavity tools, and complex mould designs.Familiarity with simulation tools such as Moldflow.Prior experience working with automotive, medical, or high-precision plastic components.
Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with stakeholders.
