FINEXUS Group is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain test automation scripts that enhance testing efficiency, increase coverage, and improve the overall reliability of key software functionalities.

Job Purpose

The Senior Test Automation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring software quality by implementing robust automated testing solutions and driving continuous improvement in testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for core products, covering end-to-end integrated application flows.
Perform manual testing as needed to gain insights for effective automation strategies.
Design and implement test automation solutions that improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability across multiple product modules and sub-components.
Collaborate closely with development teams to understand new features, define testing requirements, and ensure testability.
Execute automated test suites, analyse test results, and verify application behaviour against expected outcomes.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of test frameworks and processes.

Mentorship & Leadership

Mentor and coach junior TAEs in test automation best practices, frameworks, and tool usage.

Review and provide constructive feedback on test scripts written by junior team members to ensure quality and consistency.

Establish and promote standards for coding, documentation, and testing within the automation team.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Academic Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional Qualification (Optional)

ISTQB-CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level)

ISTQB-CT-TAE (Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer)

Min Years Of Experience

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Test Automation Engineer, or in Software Engineering with a focus on testing.

Experience In

Strong knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Katalon, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, etc.).

Expertise in at least 2 key areas of testing – web, mobile, API / backend, security, performance.

Proficient in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C, C#, etc.) and SQL queries.

Competencies & Skills

Strong logical / analytical thinking, independent, organised, creative and able to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent problem-solving skills.

Collaborative; Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
