Senior Fashion Designer Cum Merchandiser (Apparel)

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company's objectives
• Generate reports related to sales & profits and new merchandising concepts
• Plan budgets and present sales forecasts
• Provide sales performance information and sell-through, analysing sales figures, trends and regional variations
• Analyse customer buying patterns and demographics of our target market
• Analyse product selling patterns, fast-moving products and slow-moving products
• Work closely with the marketing department to discuss advertising requirements and campaigns
• Meet with the store manager to discuss and analyse sales reports
• Monitor products moving and work closely with the sales team to ensure minimum stock inventory
• Ensure that every record, documentation and schedule is well-documented, properly filed, labelled and kept confidential at all times
• Collaborate with fashion designers and suppliers
• Conceptualize & design seasonal / festive collections
• Create and conceptualize fashion designs sketch by hand
• Align designs to meet the demands of our target customers / market group
• Quality control on garments
• Source, analyse and select fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
• This job requires close liaison and communication with suppliers / business partners in China
• Work closely with the fashion design team, logistics department & marketing department
