Technical Specialist, CST CNC – responsible for onboarding new products and ensuring the delivery of technical documentation and the performance of the security tools platform at Standard Chartered.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the project team during onboarding of new products.
- Actively participate in all project meetings and walkthroughs, identifying and driving demand for successful delivery.
- Ensure all technical documents, including detailed technical steps, are delivered during the project phases (capacity management, BAU activities, Disaster Recovery, Product Resiliency).
- Review and validate all documents and provide sign‑off from the BAU / support standpoint.
- Define and maintain a clear RACI matrix including all stakeholders.
- Understand BAU scope and responsibilities.
- Highlight issues / problems noticed from the BAU standpoint and ensure remediation before handing over to production support.
- Raise and track persistent issues / findings with a valid risk, defining responsible parties and timelines.
- Enhance product auto‑healing capabilities to support daily BAU activities.
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross‑functional team members and management.
- Gather information and share it with various stakeholders in a clear and consumable format.
- Work closely with clients, technicians, vendors and managerial staff.
- Update, implement and maintain procedures.
- Prioritise initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Be on‑call or standby 24 / 7 for major incident calls, if required.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance the security tools platform, investigating incidents and change requests within agreed SLAs.
- Proactively monitor and maintain the tool’s platform.
- Coordinate tools technology refresh, system upgrades and project implementation within BAU support scope.
- Manage obsolescence and estate hygiene.
- Liaise with vendors and engineering teams to address technical issues with the tools.
- Self‑direct and work independently while articulating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical peers.
- Contribute to overall tools process improvements and documentation.
- Perform system administration operations that may require non‑traditional working hours.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.6–8 years of IT experience (banking domain desirable).Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Oracle, MSSQL, Unix / Linux / Windows technologies.Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, firewall, and NAS.Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools.Experience supporting complex platform environments.Experience with change management and incident management processes.Highly motivated, results‑driven, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.Confident, proactive, and willing to roll up sleeves to drive success.Proven ability to coordinate numerous demanding stakeholders in complex, large‑scale deployments.Advanced documentation skills with a knowledge repository that is up‑to‑date.Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Basic knowledge of on‑prem and cloud technologies.Experience in cyber‑security domains with a focus on Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) tools.Seniority Level
