IT Sales Director (MY / IDN / PH)

This is a remote position.

Our client is a leading Global Software Company seeking an entrepreneurial and agile Sales Director to drive business growth in a dynamic, startup-like environment for the ASEAN market. This role requires self-sufficiency, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a highly autonomous setting while shaping strategy and execution.

The successful candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats—leading sales, pre‑sales, marketing, and business development—while navigating the challenges of partner selection and resolving channel conflicts.

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement a growth‑focused sales strategy tailored for an agile, entrepreneurial sales environment.
  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to the sales team to enhance performance.
  • Lead and manage key accounts, fostering executive‑level relationships to drive business expansion.
  • Analyse sales pipelines, provide accurate forecasts, and recommend strategies to accelerate deal velocity.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor insights, and industry trends to inform pricing strategies and long‑term planning.
  • Coordinate and contribute to producing sales and marketing collaterals and artefacts to progress business development activities.

Sales Execution & Customer Engagement

  • Build a high‑performance, adaptable sales culture that thrives in startup‑like conditions.
  • Directly manage high‑value sales opportunities, including back‑to‑base selling and new client acquisition.
  • Navigate and simplify complex technical sales, articulating value propositions to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure sales operations (Salesforce, reporting, approvals) and best practices are adopted and embraced in all sales engagements.
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Ensure the sales team has the resources, tools, and support to exceed targets.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate with the marketing team on all marketing‑led or supported activities, such as lead generation campaigns, industry events, and ABM opportunities.
  • Work with Product Managers and 3rd party vendors to refine offerings and tailor solutions to market needs.
  • Serve as a strategic sales voice in executive management and strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to shape impactful campaigns and PR activities that enhance brand positioning.
  • Align with product and service teams to refine offerings and tailor solutions to market needs.
  • Requirements

  • Proven Sales Leadership : Demonstrated success in sales strategy, leadership, and operations, preferably in consulting or software sales.
  • Strategic Vision & Execution : Ability to build and scale sales strategies in a large B2B environment.
  • Strong Commercial Acumen : Experience in business process design, capacity modelling, and territory planning.
  • Initiative & Ownership : A proactive self‑starter with a track record of driving critical business initiatives.
  • Executive Relationship Management : Ability to establish and maintain partnerships at the senior leadership level.
  • Customer‑centric mindset : Deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for delivering impactful solutions.
  • Exceptional Communication : Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the company at conferences and industry events.
  • Team Leadership : A strong team player who aligns with Trapeze values and fosters a collaborative environment.
  • Embraced and practised the Challenger Sales model or equivalent.
  • Experience in the mobility or public transport industry is a plus.
  • Experience Requirements

  • Successful track record of selling solutions focused on understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • 15+ years in the business development space.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Experience in the mobility industry.
  • Enthusiastic and creative.
  • Great communication and presentation skills, preferably with the ability to speak at conferences and public events.
