Legal Counsel (Corporate Generalist)
We’re looking for a versatile and proactive Legal Counsel (Corporate Generalist) to join our legal team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety — supporting day-to-day commercial operations, managing corporate compliance, and driving process improvement. You’ll work closely with teams across Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice and help build scalable legal infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing
Commercial & Operational Support
- Own BAU contracting across vendor, customer, and partnership agreements — from intake to negotiation to execution.
- Partner with Finance on procurement terms & conditions, vendor security / privacy schedules, and invoicing or collections protections to balance risk and commercial needs.
- Maintain and optimize contract templates, repository, and dashboards, tracking metrics such as intake volume, cycle time, and risk trends.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
Provide corporate support including board and shareholder documentation, statutory filings, and general corporate housekeeping.Partner with the Compliance team to implement KYC-AML policy updates, respond to audits, and handle regulatory inquiries.Support the development of internal policies and frameworks that uphold compliance while enabling operational agility.Legal Advisory & Risk Management
Conduct first-level regulatory and derivatives triage — identifying potential issues, proposing mitigations, and escalating appropriately to the Head of Legal.Advise internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, and employment law matters with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, fundraising, or international expansion as needed.Ideal Candidate
Solid foundation in corporate, commercial, and compliance matters; familiarity with data protection and financial regulations is a plus.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Business-minded and adaptable, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative team player who balances legal precision with commercial pragmatism.Preferred background
Ideally with experience in corporate finance, M&A, banking & finance, or capital markets.Demonstrated ownership of commercial contracts from negotiation to execution.Experience partnering with Compliance (KYC-AML), Finance, and HR teams.Proven Track Record Of
