Export Control & Customs Manager
Join Siemens Healthineers as an Export Control & Customs Manager, responsible for ensuring compliance, process optimization and risk mitigation in APAC trade operations.
Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce consistent APAC trade operation procedures aligned with global and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the global Trade Compliance team and cross‑functional partners (logistics, sales, finance, legal) on cross‑functional projects.
- Provide oversight for export control requirements including screening, classification and license management.
- Support trade compliance checks for all Mergers & De‑Mergers.
- Manage risk and internal compliance for the AP region.
- Implement training, internal audit, risk correction and mitigation functions.
- Oversee customs broker management policy, onboarding, KPI performance and business review.
- Report import and export activities to HQ.
- Address queries, new requirements, audits, post‑inspection, appeal cases and certification from customs authorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, law or related fields.15+ years of trade and compliance experience.Strong knowledge of HS classification, customs valuation, clearance, country of origin and import license.Deep understanding of ASEAN, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand trade regulations.Experience with SAP and trade system applications.Experience at US multinational corporations is a plus.Willingness to travel if required.Attributes and Skills
