PHP Backend Developer

Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a PHP Backend Developer. Proficiency in PHP and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming. Experience in WordPress backend development, including custom theme and plugin development. Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL. Familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and deployment processes. Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git. Knowledge of security best practices in web development. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Codeigniter, Laravel, Symfony). Knowledge of RESTful API development. Certification in PHP or WordPress development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using PHP and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Customize and extend WordPress functionality to meet project requirements.
- Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems and databases.
- Optimize and maintain existing code for performance improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and designers, to deliver high-quality projects.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot reported issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in backend development.
