As the
Marketing & Communications Executive
for Wanderlust + Co, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a favourable public image of the brand via various outlets – building lasting media and influencer relations, managing brand's voice, and developing strategic plans and activations, both online and offline with the Marketing Team.
You will be required to operate creatively and effectively, with the ability to leverage key moments in the marketing and fashion calendar. The right candidate will be great at thinking outside the box, connecting opportunities to increase brand awareness whilst driving brand's identity and retail revenue in the desired direction.
To excel, you should be reliable, organized and detail oriented, with a genuine interest to excel within the marketing, public relations / partnerships and social media scope. Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms with a sincere interest in fashion is a must.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to) –
30% - Planning
- Work within commercial team to create fresh campaigns that will drive business impact – growing an engaged community via interesting and creative PR and social media moments
- Understand collection stories / campaigns to plan and execute purposeful global public relations strategies (including brand events, influencer seeding, collaborations), to drive brand awareness on independent platforms, media sites and social reach, funnel quality traffic to site and stores, increase direct revenue and cultivate an engaged global #WCOcommunity
- Align across departments to ensure timely and strategic content and PR placement, support brand campaigns, launches and marketing initiatives, leveraging on data metrics to support ad-hoc improvements and business decisions.
50% - Execution
Manage media, brand friend, influencer / KOL and KOC relations, serving as the lead person on interactions that promote and impact the brand – actively engage, cultivate and elevate press / influencer relationships via multiple mediumsOversee events and community activations from end to end, from ideation and planning to on-ground executionBe point of contact for media, brand friends, influencers / KOLs and KOCs for product seeding, general launches, events and strategic placement in line with brand goals.Oversee opportunities and pitch key stories via placements in both print and online media; including but not limited to interviews with our founder, collection launches, events, general campaigns, awards and thought leadership avenues.Identify and execute global viral or trending moments that are relevant to brand, including social media content and PR crisis management with timely communicationCo-manage social media channels, working alongside marketing team to create compelling content to ensure marketing moments are well represented and shared with our audience, and engaging relevant brand partners via social media (Instagram,TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, or other relevant social media channels that are key to the brand growth etc) to increase relevance, visibility, engagement and brand awarenessCopywriting in line with the brand's voice and identity (e.g. press releases, general social captions, newsletters, web copy for products and banners)Working alongside Customer Service team to respond to social media comments in a timely and accurate manner in alignment with brand voice to elevate brand identity and awareness.Repurpose press moments and influencer features into branded content onsiteManage product samples, attending to product loans and seeding in a time sensitive and effective manner20% - Brand Development & Post-Mortem
Track and report social media and PR related analytics to ascertain effectiveness, content engagement levels and conversion rates, to contribute to brand positioning, develop recommendations, optimise and increase conversions via campaigns, digital marketing, eDMs, content strategy or other marketing ideas.Liaison with collaborators and brand partners, for strategic partnerships and placement in line with brand goalsAssist across general marketing projects, research, and project manage across departments where required, to achieve discussed goals and targets.The following skills will ensure you excel in this role –
Bachelor's Degree in Design, Communications, Marketing or related fields2-3 years' experience within the social media, digital space, fashion, PR and / or contentExcellent command of English and strong writing skillsIndependent and quick to engage problem solving skillsQuick and strategic, plus able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced digital environmentBe a team player with an open, honest and straight-forward style of communication
