Job Summary
The Store Keeper Cum Clerk is responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods, while also providing essential clerical and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Store Keeper Duties :
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Accurately record all stock movements, including incoming and outgoing goods, in the inventory management system.
- Organize and store inventory in a secure, clean, and accessible manner.
- Prepare and issue goods to relevant departments or individuals based on approved requisitions.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to management immediately.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and security of the storage area.
Clerk Duties :
Perform data entry for inventory transactions, requisitions, and reports.Manage and maintain an organized filing system for all store-related documents.Assist in preparing various reports, including stock level reports, transaction summaries, and discrepancy reports.Process and track purchase orders and delivery notes.Handle general administrative tasks as required by the department.Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Proven experience as a store keeper, clerk, or in a similar inventory-related administrative role.Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with inventory management software.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing stock.
