As a Senior Equipment and Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment and machine activities, plus factory utilities and facility within the plant.
Qualifications & experience :
Education or Competency Requirement : Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent. Preferably specialises in Mechanical Engineering, Plant or Facilities Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience : A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience covering equipment, facilities, operations and process engineering, ideally within the medical device manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge in developing and implementing machines, equipment, fixtures and tools, with expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, electricals and mechanical systems, as well as in the installation and operation of utilities and facilities (HVAC, CDA, chiller, vacuum, exhaust, and fire protection systems).
Proficiency in SCADA, BMS, PLC, or automation would be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the research, design and development of new equipment, fixtures, and tools, including integration of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) elements.
Lead, train and guide junior engineers and technicians in equipment and facility related topics.
Source, select, develop and manage suppliers and vendors for equipment, fixtures and tools fabrication, as well as for facility or utilities support.
Generate and maintain equipment and facility documentation such as URS (User Requirement Specifications), manuals, equipment drawings, pneumatic diagrams, electrical schematics, service records, maintenance records, and more.
Execute installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment.
Drive equipment standardisation, preventive maintenance schedule and maintenance activities, spare parts availability, plus equipment and facility related trainings.
Lead facility expansion, renovation, space utilisation and utilities optimisation projects.
Perform failure analysis on equipment and facilities related issues.
Ensure smooth facility operation and compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
Identify and drive continuous improvement, lean and engineering change efforts.
Additional Requirements :
Detail oriented, analytical, critical and have strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Preferably have ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 training or exposure.
Proficiency in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
