Job descriptionAble to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred. Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment. Endurance to walk and stand for long hours. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Overview
Kitchen Assistant / Commis Chef role at Oriental Kopi .
Responsibilities
- Ensure the standard of procedure of kitchen are followed while preparing the products.
- Handle cooking tasks and ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Support the kitchen team in food plating and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Regularly clean kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Help with inventory control, including stock rotation, and assist in ordering supplies when necessary.
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by KKM and Halal standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness at all times to meet these standards.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
