Senior Software Developer - Semiconductor CIM
Bosch in Malaysia is part of the Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technology and services. The Bosch Group’s strategic objective is to deliver innovations for a connected life. The company has four manufacturing sites and R&D offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems. The PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang with first production commenced in 2023. The plant focuses on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany and houses R&D and training facilities.
Job Description
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Provide expert advice and strategic consulting on CIM solutions to optimize manufacturing processes
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of current systems to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategic solutions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of CIM solutions, including design specifications, user manuals, and best practices
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders to share knowledge and ensure effective use of CIM solutions
- Analyze manufacturing workflows and processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Design and implement CIM solutions that enhance the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they meet the desired objectives
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in manufacturing processes
- Propose and implement improvements to existing CIM solutions to enhance their functionality and performance
- Work closely with other developers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of CIM solutions with MES and other systems
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing CIM solutions, addressing any issues or bugs that arise
- Respond promptly to user inquiries and provide technical assistance as needed
Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in IT within semiconductor manufacturing or similar industriesBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalentAdvanced knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and the semiconductor businessTechnical expertise in modern semiconductor MES systemsKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing tools such as R2R, SPC, FDC, RMS, RTD, DWHIntegrate MES modules with other CIM systems (e.g. ERP, equipment interfaces, automation systems)Experience with developing interfaces using SECS / GEMExperience with data analysis and visualization toolsExcellent programming skills in a high-level language (Java, C++, C#)Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle DBSoftware Configuration Management, Build systems, and version control (e.g., Git, Subversion, Maven, Sonatype Nexus, SonarQube)Experience with project management tools and processes (e.g., Confluence, Jira)Strong interest in modern technologies, agile mindset and ability to work under pressureGood communication skills (Verbal and Written) especially in meetings and reviews with all levels and departmentsAble to work in an intercultural teamReliability and flexibility to work in a pioneer teamConception of the change management process / system (workflow, change recognizability)Structured and independent way of working, analytical skillsWillingness to take over responsibilityFluent in English (written and spoken), German skills are a plusBenefits
