Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive business development and revenue growth within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. The ideal candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and build strong customer relationships. This role requires a proven track record in sales and account management, deep market knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across functions in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales development strategy that leverages TVS SCS capabilities, trade lanes, and business plans to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Identify and jointly develop differentiators with internal stakeholders to increase new customer acquisition and retention (e.g., IV specialisations and solutions).
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline, executing opportunity win plans effectively.
  • Establish and maintain a network of customer contacts to build trust across all levels of the customer organisation.
  • Drive value‑creating partnership strategies with customers.
  • Transform discussions of potential opportunities into actionable future plans.
  • Maintain optimal sales volume, product mix, and selling price by staying current with supply, demand, trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Adjust gross profit margins and selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and market dynamics.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to meet customers’ requirements.
  • Create and review SOPs for each secured customer, ensuring all operational parties understand required processes.
  • Resolve service issues with customers as appropriate and requested.
  • Update all sales activities in Salesforce to ensure accurate and timely monthly sales reporting to the Country HOS and global management.
  • Develop and coordinate effective use of marketing collateral, materials, and all customer‑related information with marketing and administration teams.
  • Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned by the reporting manager and global management.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or an equivalent field (preferred).
  • 5–8 years of sales experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry (preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development and strategic account management.
  • Strong market knowledge in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, preferably with specialisations in specific industry verticals.
  • Sound understanding of leveraging a sales process to uncover customer needs, present appropriate solutions, and close business.
  • Experience working within a multi‑national, multicultural environment.
  • Strong organisational, business‑writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to multi‑task and drive profitable revenue from multiple accounts.
  • Strong leadership qualities and motivation skills.
  • Effective communication and interaction capabilities across various internal stakeholders.
