Job Purpose

  • Support the Manager, Organization Development in leading and managing organizational design and development initiatives within MISC, contributing to effective organization structures that support MISC's current / future business and people strategies.
  • Facilitate and coordinate job management activities (covering job analysis & design and job evaluation) to ensure fair and equitable job management group‑wide, aligned with prevailing talent management policies and the compensation system.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of MISC Berhad's organization structures, approved positions, and manpower inventory.

Organization Development / Realignment - Value Chain / Process Analysis

  • Support the Manager in conducting organization design and development / realignment reviews across MISC Berhad and selected subsidiaries.
  • Assist in identifying relevant manning and competency (skills, knowledge, and experience) requirements to support business units / subsidiaries' strategic thrusts, Strategies & Initiatives (S&I), and long‑term business objectives. This includes :
  • Gathering information on the BU / SU / subsidiary’s “Corporate House” and Strategies and Initiatives, including projects.
  • Helping to determine the scope of work and core functions / business processes of the BU / SU / subsidiary.
  • Assisting in detailed process analysis, identifying activities / tasks, inter‑dependencies, KPIs, issues, and challenges in executing processes.
  • Organization Development / Realignment - Headcount Optimization Reviews

  • Support headcount optimization reviews by assisting in the identification of manning and competency requirements. This involves :
  • Collecting data and information related to the BU / SU / subsidiary’s “Corporate House” and Strategies and Initiatives, including projects.
  • Supporting the determination of the scope of work and core functions / business processes.
  • Assisting in detailed process analysis and identification of activities / tasks, inter‑dependencies, KPIs, issues, and challenges.
  • Contributing to the analysis of manning levels required, considering key competencies, workload volume, and critical issues.
  • Supporting the preparation of presentation packs on proposed organization structures and manning levels.
  • Assist in reviewing requests for additional manpower by :
  • Analyzing submissions from BU / SU to understand justifications for additional manpower.
  • Gathering information on key changes in business direction, S&I, or projects, and evaluating impacts of external drivers, competency requirements, workload, etc.
  • Supporting the preparation of presentation packs for Management Committee review.
  • Job Analysis and Design

  • Assist in the Job Analysis / Design process, providing support to HRM Business Partners and BU / SU / subsidiary’s managers in the preparation / development of job descriptions (JD).
  • Contribute to maintaining a consistent standard for JDs and their performance measurements.
  • Perform maintenance of MISC Berhad's organization structures and their respective Job Descriptions.
  • Job Evaluation

  • Support the Job Evaluation exercise for new or restructured / revised positions within MISC Berhad and selected subsidiaries, ensuring an objective and consistent approach.
  • Help ensure alignment to prevailing group‑wide HRM policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Contribute to reviews or redesign efforts for the Job Evaluation process & methodology to enhance effectiveness and relevance.
  • SAP Organization Management (OM) Module Management

  • Perform maintenance of MISC Berhad’s approved organization structures, position, and manpower inventory.
  • Support the management of SAP HRIS Organization Management (OM) Module and Organization Publisher system / tools to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for reporting purposes.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Provide support on initiatives / engagements relating to special projects, change management, and other areas as directed by the Manager, Organization Development.
  • Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Human Resource, Social Science, consulting, or business advisory services.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in organization development, HR process review, or advisory roles.
  • Familiarity with Job Evaluation approaches (Hays Job Evaluation experience is an advantage).
  • Experience with SAP Human Capital Management system is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Social Science, Accounting, Finance, Information & Communications Technology (ICT), or equivalent.
  • Seniority level : Executive
