Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field. Must be registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM). 8+ years of experience in structural design required for Senior position. At least 2 years of relevant working experience in building or rail design work prioritized. Experience with infrastructure design work required for Rail Design Engineer position. Fresh graduates with strong fundamental in design knowledge considered for junior positions. Proficient in structural analysis and design software. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations (e.g. MS EN, BS, etc.). For Malaysian only. Established Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy Firm with wide range of project involvement opportunities. Continuous learning and professional development opportunities. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience. Free parking. Opportunity to learn and explore Building Information Modelling (BIM) - new way of design. Official 5 working days per week with semi flexible working schedule. Office located nearby LRT station - Taman Bahagia. Public Holidays are as gazetted by national and state government.

About the role
T Y Lin International Sdn Bhd, a leading global C&S consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Executive / Senior Building or Rail / Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time position is crucial in delivering complex structural engineering projects for our diverse client base.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting structural analysis and design for a variety of building, rail and infrastructure projects
- Preparing detailed structural drawings, specifications and design calculations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers and site personnel, to ensure seamless project delivery
- Attending project / site meetings, design review meetings and meetings with relevant authorities
- Conducting site inspections
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Identifying and implementing innovative design solutions to optimize costs and construction efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with company ISO requirements, relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards
- Reviewing project documentation for conformity and quality assurance
- Contributing to the development of in-house design tools and best practices
