Production Manager (System Level Assembly / Test Manufacturing)
Upholding the company’s safety management standards within area of responsibility. Support and encourage the “continuous improvement” mind set towards achieving high level productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
- Receives a daily production schedule from planning and executes accordingly
- Coordinates inputs and resources (materials, personnel, equipment, etc.) to achieve on-time production of quality products within budget
- Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the production process
- Recruit, select, assign, schedule, and coach employees
- Manage shift personnel to ensure production targets are met including balancing headcount, managing holidays, and managing overtime
- Lead a group of people (Normal Shift Supervisors, Shift Supervisors, Manufacturing Specialists and Operators) to achieve defined KPI
- First point of escalation for disciplinary issues within the production area
- Manage and approve working hours, staff levels, and operators
- Efficient control of daily activity and processes in production
- Ensure that initial and ongoing training of all colleagues in the production areas meets requirements and expectations
- Ensure customer deadlines and quality requirements are met
- Review employees’ performance and provide coaching, compensation recommendations, and disciplinary actions as necessary; interact with subordinates and peers
- Actively participate in the quarterly Kaizen program to eliminate waste and realize cost savings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 7-10 years of experience in PCBA manufacturingSimilar industry experience with exposure to system level assembly and test manufacturing managementIn-depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the productionKnowledge of materials and processesUnderstanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitabilityAbility to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics in a dynamic environmentAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including presenting to groupsAbility to lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight deadlinesKnowledge of Kaizen tools and ability to use them to eliminate waste in production processesProficiency with PC applications : SAP, Word, Excel, or PowerPointCompany and notices
