Accounts Receivable Executive – Bank Reconciliation
MISC Group WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts with internal financial records. This includes identifying and resolving variances, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and supporting financial integrity through regular analysis and reporting. Ensure compliance with internal controls and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : Perform daily, weekly, and month-end bank reconciliations for multiple entities and currencies. Investigate and resolve unreconciled items, aged open items. Ensure timely and accurate clearing of matched transactions to maintain clean and updated sub-ledgers. Monitor and highlight on returned payments, duplicate entries, or unmatched items. Escalate unresolved issues to relevant departments and track through to closure. Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for reconciling items and adjustments. Month-End Close & Reporting : Support month-end close by ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled within the closing timeline. Prepare reconciliation reports and schedules for internal reporting and audits. Post necessary accounting adjustments or reclassifications related to bank entries. Compliance & Controls : Ensure adherence to internal control procedures, financial policies, and reconciliation standards. Maintain compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliation reports and supporting documents. Identify recurring issues and propose preventive solutions to reduce reconciling items. Contribute to process standardization and automation initiatives. Collaborate in the development of reconciliation tools, templates, and dashboards. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS : 2–4 years of experience in bank reconciliation or AR-related roles, preferably in a Shared Services or high-volume environment. Fresh graduate can be considered Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP S / 4HANA preferred) and reconciliation tools. Degree in Accounting or Professional Degree (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CPA, CIMA).
