CREDIT CONTROL EXECUTIVE

Requirements :

  • Minimum a Diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit Control / Credit Collections.
  • Excellent credit collection, solving customer disputes and negotiation skills.
  • Results oriented, dynamic, creative and self-driven.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency (especially in Excel).
  • Possess strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description :

  • The primary objective for a Credit Controller is to collect the maximum value of outstanding debts at the earliest possible date.
  • Actively pursue overdue accounts to minimize bad debts and improve cash flow.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices through phone calls, emails, and letters.
  • Spending maximum time on the telephone with customers who have not paid their account by the due date.
  • Regularly review and monitor customer accounts to ensure adherence to agreed payment terms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer profile, account and payment histories.
  • Ensure the accuracy of customer's details in the database use for billing and collection purposes.
  • Investigate and resolve disputes or discrepancies that may be delaying payments.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve issues and ensure prompt payment.
  • Identify and escalate high-risk accounts that require closer monitoring or immediate action to Credit Control Manager.
  • Propose credit notes and propose stop service to branch managers for outstanding customer in regard to debtors' issues.
  • Negotiate payment plans or extensions with customers as necessary, with prior approval from Credit Control Manager.
  • Other duties given to you by your superior from time to time, if required.
