The Manufacturing Engineering team will be part of LMM Operations Team, reporting into Global Operations. This function will partner with the LMM Operations team such as Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain, Logistics in Malaysia to deliver Operations Excellence, driving high quality, productivity and cost effective performance in the safest environment.

The impact you’ll make

In this position, as Test Manager your will lead a team of engineers to develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. You will work across organization functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing. Drive the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Lead the team on new test software and fixtures deployment including defining the criteria, designs, documents, builds, calibrates, troubleshoots and meet / exceed all safety, quality, cost, efficiency and productivity deliverables. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Drive systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Lead the team to resolve test issues cross functionally with Suppliers, Supplier Engineering, Pilot Manufacturing, and Design Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for transitioning test on new products to Manufacturing, resolving any manufacturing floor test issue, improving product quality, and reducing the test cycle time. The candidate should have good experience at a semiconductor fab, very familiar with capital equipment and challenges.

What You’ll Do

In this position, you will manage a team of Test Engineers and technicians to sustain and improve Test Engineering Performance.

• Develop test strategy / test plan
• Implement governance and reporting processes
• Implement standard processes, methodologies and tools
• Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the test strategy
• Perform all test / management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality
• Responsible for managing the overall testing effort and deliverables, work with testing team to ensure that testing is on time and within budget
• Test planning activities and estimation, test scope definition with the use of risk based testing

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer / supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
