Due Diligence Analyst – APAC – Third Party Due Diligence Team
Join ABB as a Due Diligence Analyst in the APAC Third Party Due Diligence Team. This role reports to the Integrity (Operations) Manager within ABB’s Legal & Integrity team. You will be part of a new center of excellence focused on reducing legal, regulatory, and reputational risk through independent, consistent due diligence reviews across business areas and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform due diligence case work, including Simplified Due Diligence (SDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for suppliers, customers, and partners.
- Analyze counterparties’ ownership structures, sanctions exposure, and other risk factors with tools such as Orbis and sanctions databases (e.g., OFAC, EU, UK).
- Interpret findings and produce well‑structured reports that support decision‑making and compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
- Maintain audit trails and ensure documentation quality in line with due diligence standards.
- Collaborate with business areas, legal, procurement, and compliance teams to deliver case‑level insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and share knowledge within the team.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management, or related fields, with hands‑on involvement in third‑party due diligence preferred.Strong understanding of anti‑bribery, corruption, sanctions, and compliance frameworks.Experience with Simplified Due Diligence and exposure to Enhanced Due Diligence, including ownership structure analysis and sanctions screening.Familiarity with due diligence tools such as Orbis and sanctions databases.Analytical skills to interpret findings and prepare clear reports for internal stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and SOP compliance.Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.Fluent in English (spoken and written); regional language skills are a plus.Additional Information : This position is full‑time, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and part of ABB’s global market‑leading operations.
