PHP Software Engineer Intern | 6-Month Hybrid Internship | Petaling Jaya, Selangor

What You'll Do

Help build the future of insurance distribution by developing features for our Distribution Platform
Work with senior developers on architectural decisions and scalable B2B2C integrations
Build high-performance web apps using Laravel and
Write clear and comprehensive API documentation to streamline partner onboarding
Participate in agile sprints to continuously improve the platform
Integrate with travel platforms, payment gateways, and insurance carriers
Optimize databases for handling large-scale distribution and data analytics
Implement white-label solutions for seamless partner integrations

What You Need To Have

Experience in PHP and object-oriented programming skills

Experience (or eagerness to learn) with Laravel / Symfony frameworks

Knowledge in MySQL / PostgreSQL and SQL

Experience with Git for collaborative development

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services

Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

Bonus Point If You Have

Experience with Docker, CI / CD, or Redis

Knowledge of microservices or AWS services (EC2, RDS, etc.)

Experience with PHPUnit or testing frameworks

Familiarity with payment processing or e-commerce platforms
