  • Business & Engineering Partnership
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Head of Service Management, jointly owning the vision, roadmap, and outcomes for the domain.
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Foster a culture of shared accountability, continuous feedback, and joint decision-making.
  • Engineering Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and execute a strategic engineering roadmap aligned with business and IT goals.
  • Lead and mentor Architects and Engineers teams across Kuala Lumpur and Belgium.
  • Champion a service-oriented mindset, embedding ITIL principles into engineering practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that balance delivery speed with governance and operational stability.
  • People Management & Talent Development
  • Recruit and retain high-performing engineers with diverse perspectives across regions.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development support to ensure team members excel both technically and personally.
  • Develop and execute onboarding, training, and career development programmes tailored to regional and functional needs.
  • Foster a psychologically safe and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
  • Technical Oversight & Governance
  • Process & Methodology
  • Integrate Agile delivery with ITIL processes to ensure a balance of speed and reliability.
  • Embed security into engineering practices, proactively identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in collaboration with Global Security and Risk teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Act as a key liaison between engineering and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value.
  • Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Compliance, and Support teams to ensure seamless delivery and support.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to support the implementation of classification, retention, and protection policies.
  • Professional Skills
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in software or systems engineering, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in large-scale, distributed, and global environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for people development and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong background in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Generative AI.
  • Expertise in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-volume, real-time systems.
  • Experience with client device management, endpoint security, and telephony systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting across the software stack.

  • Provide strategic leadership for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra.
  • Lead engineering for End-user device management supported by Intune, videoconferencing, and telephony systems, ensuring a consistent and secure user experience.
  • Guide the adoption and governance of the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring platform usage aligns with security, scalability, and compliance standards.
