Overview
Hilton is seeking a Security Assistant to support safety and security operations across hotel premises. Responsibilities include maintaining order and safety, assisting guests, conducting safety patrols, managing access and visitor procedures, and supporting event and daily hotel security needs.
What will I be doing?
- Maintain the order and safety of the hotel.
- Offer necessary service to guests.
- Conduct regular safety patrols and report any potential hazards.
- Care for communication facilities and operate fire control equipment as required.
- Report and monitor suspicious personnel or articles, keeping records of incidents.
- Security Assistant tasks at staff entrances : ensure external visitor registration is filled correctly, be hospitable to visitors, conduct random bag inspections, and adhere to the Asset Removal Policy.
- Prevent entry of flammable or explosive items, corrosives, drugs, hazardous tools, liquor, or items labeled identical to the hotel’s property.
- Detain and record identically labeled items with staff name and employee number when applicable; ensure Gate-Pass is used for removal of hotel property and write-off after return of lent items.
- Manage damaged-item payments and provide invoices; keep deposited keys secure and follow key-lent procedures; maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Security at the hotel lobby : assist guests with directions and elevator usage, especially for elderly, children, and disabled guests; monitor for suspicious behavior; discourage pets; ensure visitors register as required; advise visitors to stay in guest rooms during late hours; coordinate with Marketing & Communications for photography approvals.
- Report found belongings to Duty Manager and Front Desk; prevent loss of goods in public areas; monitor and manage visitors with empty bags and high-risk entries; supervise corridor areas near banquet spaces.
- Patrolling : follow patrol routes and schedules, observe for threats or discrepancies, inspect critical areas (machine rooms, kitchens, utility rooms, door security, firefighting equipment, and fire control systems), ensure doors are locked, and report abnormalities promptly.
- Assist with office security by ensuring doors are locked after hours and reporting any abnormality to the supervisor; maintain confidentiality and safety during duties.
- Be familiar with basic first aid and fire emergency procedures; perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
