Back End Engineer - Cards Team

Job descriptionDevelop features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and scalable manner. Drive large, complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launch. Architect new features, refactor existing code to be more scalable, and see changes through to completion in a live environment. Provide operational support on multiple projects with a core role in providing expertise in statistics and data analysis. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and solve complex problems and drive technical decisions. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards. Participate in code reviews, mentor, and provide guidance to team members. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology. Degree in Computer Science / Engineering. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience in finance / payment industry would be an added advantage. Solid knowledge of SDLC process, software design and development best practices. Knowledge of data security, application scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript. Knowledge of other server-side languages such as Golang would be an added advantage. Understanding of frontend technology and languages such as JavaScript, and VueJS. Strong knowledge of algorithm, data structures, SQL, and NoSQL. Experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring, and NodeJS. Familiarity with cloud computing such as AWS and on-premises solution. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Critical thinker, growth mindset and detail-oriented person. Ability to work under pressure.
The designated role is responsible for delivering solutions in a quality and timely manner. Leading the organization towards a modernized architecture and matured in-house development environment.
