We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead and oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires strong technical expertise in handling the full set of accounts and the ability to support the Financial Controller in driving compliance, efficiency, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Review team members’ work and provide guidance on complex accounting matters.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable work culture.
- Manage the full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR, payroll, tax, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Prepare management account in compliance with MFRS / IFRS.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and audit processes.Strengthen internal controls and maintain proper documentation.Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.Support system upgrades, automation, and integration projects.Requirements
Education : Degree in Accounting / Finance; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.Experience : At least 5–7 years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.Skills
Strong knowledge of full set accounts and financial reporting standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in accounting systems (SQL is an advantage) and strong skills in MS Excel and Word.Attributes : Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.Reporting Line
