General Manager – Ceramics & Porcelain

The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the success of the plant, including, but not limited to, safety and compliance with state and federal laws, plant product, monthly and yearly reports, annual budget setting, goal setting, and personnel hiring, development, and evaluation. The General Manager will exhibit a leadership style and direction supportive of Guocera values and goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership and direction across 2 Ceramics & Porcelain sites in order to deliver the strategic business plan and annual budget.
• Make speedy, well reasoned decisions on courses of action to maintain pace and agility of the organization as it enters its next growth phase.
• Create and deliver ambitious but achievable growth objectives, both through entering new markets and maximizing the opportunities through the established Distinctive Competence (DC), Share of Wallet (SoW) and New Business Development Pipeline (NBDP) tools.
• Create an organizational climate that is both positive and motivating for the entire workforce in order to deliver the operational and strategic plans through, and with, the people within the organization.
• Define and establish a positive and engaging culture across the Businesses that retains the entrepreneurial spirit of the organization, rewarding the right leadership and management behavior in order to deliver high sustained performance through an engaged and motivated workforce.
• Provide coaching to all manufacturing leaders to develop their leadership and business development capabilities in order to develop high performing teams and identify and maximize other profitable growth opportunities using the established tools.
• Provide strong advocacy for the Talent Agenda in order to increase the talent bench strength across the team to deliver the ambitious growth plans.
• Using the tools available within Guocera support the ARM (Attract, Retain, Motivate) philosophy in order to deliver the highest possible business performance with the most motivated, engaged and committed workforce.
• Initiate and develop plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
• Create the optimum organization to deliver the strategy, doing what it takes to get the right people with the right skills in the right roles.
• Implement a high performing management team for each business.
