The role involves ensuring proper investigation of Transaction Monitoring (TM) and Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) in accordance with the Bank’s internal AML / CFT policy & procedures requirements. Key responsibilities include : Supervising and managing the STR team to ensure daily productivity and reviewing all cases within the approved turn-around time. Involvement in the UAT, implementation, and enhancement of AML / CFT System. Reviewing and making recommendations on process and system improvement for enhanced monitoring and management of AML / CFT risks. Liaising with Branches, Business Units, and Operation Units on AML / CFT related matters. Preparation of Group AML / CFT Policy and SOPs. Providing periodic reporting on STR related matters under Group AML / CFT. The role also requires : Ensuring all STR cases are reviewed within the approved turn-around time and consistently meet the quality required. Coordinating and working closely with the Transaction Monitoring team to bring up the overall quality for alerts / cases. Ensuring submission of STR to FIED, BNM within the stipulated deadline. Maintenance of accurate and timely records, including the Internal Blacklist and STR register. Requirements for the role include : Technical knowledge on AML / CFT laws and regulations. Analytical thinking and management skills. Degree in Accounting and Finance or related AML / CFT certifications. At least 3 to 5 years working experience in AML compliance or at least 5 years banking operations experience.
