We are looking for an experienced Executive Logistics to join our team in Penang to manage and coordinate all logistics operations related to project and non-project shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials. This includes overseeing transportation planning, customs compliance, warehouse management, vendor coordination, and regulatory documentation, while supporting continuous improvement in logistics efficiency and adherence to License Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) requirements.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Bachelor\'s degree is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of Incoterms and international trade regulations.
- Familiarity with customs documentation and import / export procedures.
- Familiarity with and compliance to LMW procedures is required.
- Familiarity with logistics KPI\'s.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes and solutions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics procedures.
- Familiarity with standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities
Logistics Operation Management
Coordinate and facilitate all incoming and outgoing shipments for Projects and Non-Projects.Source and negotiate shipping, forwarding, and transportation prices for local and international movements via air, sea, and land.Support in establishing framework agreements for logistics services.Identify optimal shipping and transportation routes, considering pick-up / drop-off points, warehousing, distribution, and customs regulations.Monitor performance of shipping agents, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure delivery requirements are met with optimized logistics costs.Collaborate with Project Management and Factory teams to ensure on-time deliveries per the Project Purchasing and Shipping Plans.Work with Procurement PICs to ensure equipment / materials are packed and labeled according to procedures and delivered within agreed timelines.Vendor and Relationship Management
Coordinate with Receiving Team (Storekeeper / Project Engineer) to prepare storage space and align delivery timelines.Collaborate with Store to manage movement and inventory of equipment / materials in Bonded and Non-Bonded Warehouses.Maintain updated inventory records at Central Store and other warehouse locations.Liaise with transporters, forwarders, warehouses, and vendors for accurate and timely delivery.Communicate regularly with vendors to update shipment status.Provide monthly import / export shipment reports.Update relevant personnel on shipment delivery and arrival dates.Documentation and Billing
Prepare full sets of shipping documentation for customs declarations (import / export), including Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Invoice, Packing List, and Delivery Order.Coordinate and supervise packing of finished goods and consolidated equipment / materials.Record shipment receipt, preparation, loading, and unloading. Verify logistics-related billings (courier, shipping, transportation, storage).Ensure shipment information aligns with Procurement Listing for traceability.Prepare Purchase Requisitions for logistics activities.Shipment Efficency
Manage and monitor shipment flow from pick-up to drop-off, including schedules, documentation, and customs regulations.Support other shipping activities as required.Regulatory Compliance
Register in DagangNet System for cost analysis and duty exemption.Apply and prepare documentation for duty exemption under Free Trade Agreements (e.g., Form D).Submit monthly and yearly LMW reports (M1, M2, M4, Lampiran H).Ensure proper filing of K1 and K2 forms for LMW Customs Audit.Ensure full compliance with LMW requirements.Liaise with government agencies (Customs, MITI, MIDA) for licenses and permits (LMW, Manufacturing License, Import Permit).#J-18808-Ljbffr
