Finance Operations :
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with MFRS / IFRS and company policies.
Manage cash flow, payment schedules, and treasury activities.
Support management with financial data, variance analysis, and performance insights.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities for statutory and compliance matters.
Hire Purchase Accounting :
Handle all accounting activities related to hire purchase arrangements , including recognition of interest income / expense, principal payments, and amortization schedules.
Maintain detailed hire purchase records and schedules, ensuring proper classification and accounting treatment.
Reconcile hire purchase accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financing agreements.
Prepare reports on outstanding HP balances, interest components, and repayment status for management review.
Liaise with financial institutions on HP documentation, settlement, and refinancing matters.
Process Improvement & Compliance :
Streamline accounting and operational workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA ) is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance operations or hire purchase accounting.
Strong knowledge of MFRS / IFRS and hire purchase accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, SQL, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external parties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business management, or related field Minimum 2 years of fund house experience Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. Familiar with Labuan regulatory framework is highly preferred. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Fast thinking and resourceful Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skill Ability to stay up to date with the latest legal and regulatory developments Keen awareness of Malaysia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong’s business environment, regulatory changes, and updates Preferably with CFA qualification
