Job Description
- Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
- Offer specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams regarding tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions.
- Work with finance and HR departments to ensure precise calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions.
- Provide tax advice on assignment structures, leveraging tax treaties, and identifying tax‑efficient benefits.
- Educate and counsel employees on their tax responsibilities and the potential implications of international assignments.
- Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
- Analyze employee compensation and payroll data to accurately calculate tax liabilities and identify potential benefits.
- Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees’ tax positions.
- Diligently maintain detailed tax records and documentation for accuracy and audit‑readiness.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations.
- Compile and present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related field.Fluent in Mandarin and English, written and spoken.3+ years in Global Mobility or relevant company experience.Knowledge of US personal tax is preferred.Work location : Kuala Lumpur.Agile, responsive individual who seeks technical and operational excellence.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Demonstrate ability to manage large‑scale call volume, with strong time‑management skills and ability to self‑direct.Great active listening skills.Empathy and patience when dealing with assignees.Additional Information
