Associate III, Quantity Surveyor Section, Planning & Capital Works Department
To plan, strategize, control and functionally carrying-out all aspects of management of contract matters and other functions in order to achieve the department and organization target.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Contract
- To be part of the team advice on the design team proposed contract to be carried out.
- To check on the drafted tender document tabling to PPC for approval to tender.
- To present to the committee member of the PPC on the drafted tender document
Post Contract
To be carry-out rationalization for the new awarded contract.To attend and present on the kick-off / progress meeting.To administration the contract progress and attend to the contract matters arise from the executed work done.To deal with the contract dispute.To review and comment on the recommendation report for the issuance of the contract’s certificate e.g. : Extension of Time (EOT), Certificated of Partial Occupation (CPO), Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC), Certificate of Non-Completion (CNC) Certificate of Making Good Defect (CMGD) and Certificate of Completion of Services (CCS).To prepare Management Procurement Committee (MPC) paper for issuance of Variation Order (VO), certificate of APK, PHK and FAFC.To carry-out negotiation of consultant contractor for assessing the V.O works.To present the MPC report for approval.To prepare the documentation for the concurrence of the rate from Procurement.To check / review and finalize the change order in TAMS system in order to process claim from the vendors.To carry-out site measurement / valuation for the purpose of certificate of the interim progress claim to the contractor within the stipulated time in the condition of contract.To process and prepare the interim progress claim using i-claim, SAP and TAMS.To resolve the problem with TAMS in completing the task form time to time.To process, prepare and finalize the contracts final account within the stipulated time as outline in the Condition of Contract (COC).To notify Capital Works Section on the potential delay of the project.To check and recommend for the Loss & Expenses claimed by the contractor.To assist others Department / Section / Unit for processing the claim and advice for contract matters.To provide and up-date data on the annual accrual monthly, outstanding claim and aspire dashboard.Attending training as scheduled by the Learning Centre.To up-date the cost data for project reference.Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent3 Years’ experience in Quantity Surveying / Contract Administration positionKnowledge in the administration of contract process.Knowledge of Word, Excel and Windows.Knowledge of Construction industries especially in water works.#J-18808-Ljbffr
