As the Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll serve as the second line of defense, ensuring that the company’s risk and compliance practices align with global policies while adapting to local regulatory requirements. You’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s integrity, supporting sustainable growth, and fostering a culture of accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Implementation & Oversight
- Deploy and continuously improve the risk and compliance framework, including legal and digital tools.
- Ensure its effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with global standards.
- Governance & Risk Monitoring
- Actively contribute to governance committees, offering constructive insights and challenges.
- Oversee risk management from a Line of Defense 2 perspective and escalate conflicts between global guidelines and local laws.
- Support to First Line of Defense
- Assist in maintaining risk profiles and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor emerging risks across sectors, including ESG, macroeconomic, and technological factors.
- Compliance & Legal Advisory
- Ensure non-compliance risks are identified and addressed.
- Oversee regulatory training, culture and conduct initiatives, and legal impact assessments.
- Advise on legal contracts and collaborate with external counsel.
- Organizational Readiness
- Ensure teams have adequate resources, systems, and access to relevant information.
- Maintain independence of Level 2 Controllers and coordinate HR supervision where applicable.
- Budgeting & Collaboration
- Provide input for departmental budgets and monitor adherence.
- Share best practices across regional and global teams to enhance enterprise-wide frameworks.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in financial services (i.e. risk, compliance, legal etc)
Preferably from MnC background
