Assistant Manager, Finance System & Automation

in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial reporting, acting as a bridge between Finance, Engineering, Data, and Operations. The candidate will support system maintenance, data quality controls, and process improvements, educating finance teams on system functionalities and best practices. Responsibilities

Data Systems & Integrity : Lead initiatives to improve accuracy and consistency of financial reports through data validation and reconciliation. Collaborate with Finance and Engineering to investigate data discrepancies and act as a point of contact for system integrity issues. Implement and maintain system-driven controls to safeguard financial data and support audits. Support the integration of NetSuite with other internal and external systems. Process Automation : Support automation of financial accounting and reporting processes and contribute to ongoing projects. Contribute to improving accuracy of Finance data through system controls and process documentation. Drive operational efficiency by supporting implementation of new solutions, including AI-enabled ones. Inter-departmental Collaboration & Support : Partner with internal stakeholders and bridge gaps between departments. Work with Product Managers to support QC and rollout of new system solutions. Promote accountability and compliance by assisting with end-to-end documentation of key processes. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or related. 3-5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in e-commerce or tech companies. Proven experience with ERP systems. Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools to develop or improve workflows and drive efficiency. Foundation in SQL, Python, Java, or other programming languages is a plus. Exposure to Finance function and understanding of Finance processes is a plus. Strong problem-solving, project management, analytical and multi-tasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ShopBack DNA & Benefits
