As a Senior Data Engineer, you will entwine data into an architectural system that supports fintech initiatives. What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and optimize scalable data infrastructure and pipelines to enable data processing, storage, and analysis for data-driven decision-making. Build scalable systems / data pipelines interfacing with sources such as Kafka, RDBMS, REST endpoints, and object storage services. Review and interpret business and technical requirements with a focus on data objectives; identify requirements and develop data delivery solutions. Implement data access and distribution policies; contribute to data management best practices (data modeling, DataOps, data catalog / discovery, data contracts). Support multiple teams to determine database structural requirements; assist with design and optimization for high performance and cost efficiency. Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers. Support end-to-end data flow for projects, including troubleshooting data quality issues, data model design, data consumption, and query performance. Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities; design and ship data platform tooling for developers, analysts, and scientists. Maintain multiple codebases and conduct code reviews or pair programming to ensure high-quality code. Requirements

Familiarity with financial and banking products Strong software engineering practices, especially DataOps Experience building and shipping large-scale engineering products and / or infrastructure Experience in scalable data architecture, fault-tolerant data pipelines, and ensuring data quality Ability to collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers Deep expertise in data engineering and data processing at scale; experience with data lake systems for exploration and ML workflows is a plus Familiarity with data science techniques and frameworks Proficiency with a modern cloud stack (Alibaba Cloud) and programming languages such as Java and Python What We Value
