Digital Analytic for Structural Integrity Technology (DASIT) Research Group is a dedicated research group from UTP specializing in structural health monitoring for mechanical damages. Led by AP Dr. Abdul Rahim Othman, who holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and has 20 years of experience in research and academia. The group's expertise includes Mechanics of Material, Finite Element Analysis, Structural Analysis, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Assistant located in Perak, Malaysia. The Research Assistant will be involved in day-to-day tasks such as conducting research, performing laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with team members. The individual will also be required to document findings, prepare reports, and communicate research outcomes effectively.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any engineering-related field or studies.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
• Good in laboratory skills.
• Flexibility, multitasking and strong time management.
• Maintenance of equipment and electronics.
• Coordinate on-site and off-site meetings.
• Own a laptop for online meetings and related document updates.
• Possesses own transport and can travel when necessary.
