Advise the company on safety measures to protect employees in the workplace.
Review and ensure the implementation of safety plans, policies, and procedures.
Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) for each production activity.
Inspect the workplace for safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Serve as Secretary for the Safety & Health Committee and fulfill regulatory functions.
Investigate and report on accidents, hazards, and occupational health issues.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies (e.g., DOSH, BOMBA) to ensure compliance.
Ensure the fire-fighting systems are maintained and operational.
Organize emergency response drills and promote safety awareness through training and meetings.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist the ISO Executive with EMS (ISO 14001 : 2015).
Coordinate with environmental authorities on waste management.
Promote environmental awareness among employees through meetings.
Manage waste storage and disposal according to regulations and submit waste inventory data.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Completed the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management course or equivalent (advantageous).
Certified by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) as a registered Safety and Health Officer (preferred).
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to respond effectively to emergencies or challenging situations.
