Overview

We're looking for a proactive Proposals Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation specialising in large‑scale industrial and energy projects. You'll play a key role in preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, and supporting contract negotiations that drive business growth.

This is a dynamic position for someone who thrives on detail, collaboration, and commercial strategy - ideal for engineers who want to combine technical knowledge with business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to client tenders.
• Support bid / no‑bid (Go / No‑Go) decisions with the Commercial & Regional Manager.
• Review tender documentation, identify requirements, and clarify queries with stakeholders.
• Develop concept designs and coordinate with internal teams for drawings and pricing.
• Prepare cost estimates using data from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify subcontractor scope and maintain communication regarding quotations and timelines.
• Compile complete tender packages, including technical and commercial sections.
• Participate in internal review meetings and secure approvals before submission.
• Lead or support technical and commercial negotiations with clients.
• Ensure smooth project handover to the delivery team upon award.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of company processes and systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
