Job Title : Senior Cloud Database Engineer

Location : Mercu Tower 3, KL Eco City, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type : Permanent (Onsite at Client Location)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our client's technology team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role requires deep expertise in database administration across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Cloud databases. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems while also contributing to ongoing transformation and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level databases across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Administer, monitor, and tune databases for optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Handle backup, recovery, data migration, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application database needs and integration.
• Implement and manage data replication and ETL processes, with experience in tools such as IBM CDC.
• Ensure database compliance with industry best practices, governance, and security standards.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve database performance, automation, and cloud integration.
