Senior IT Risk Manager

About the Company

Our client is a leading Financial Institution with a significant global presence. This role sits within the key operational hub and Centre of Excellence for the global business, supporting their regional projects & initiatives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

• Lead the execution of IT risk assessments

within the EORM framework, ensuring comprehensive evaluation, documentation, and escalation of significant technology-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, system integrity issues, and operational resilience gaps.

, offering objective insight into the adequacy, design, and consistent application of key IT controls across processes.

, partnering with business units to provide expert guidance on identifying and mitigating IT risks, designing effective control frameworks.

, performing root cause analysis of major incidents (e.g. data breaches, system outages), validating mitigation plans, and ensuring effective governance and closure of remediation actions.

, setting direction, prioritizing deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes, and mentoring team members.

Candidate Profile :

degree in business, finance, information technology

, or a related field; risk certification

6–10 years of experience

in financial services, with a strong focus on IT risk, cybersecurity, or technology control functions.

IT risk frameworks, conducting risk assessments, performing control testing

, and analyzing root causes of IT incidents such as system outages, security breaches, or data integrity failures.

and influencing senior IT and business stakeholders; able to work collaboratively across jurisdictions and lead discussions on IT risk mitigation and control enhancement.

advising senior leadership on emerging technology risks, control gaps, and strategic risk responses
