Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the end-to-end product development process by creating and structuring interbank, OTC, and exchange-traded products for the trading team. It also involves designing and executing innovative financial solutions across fixed income, derivatives, interest rates, FX, equities and structured products to enhance profitability.
The secondary responsibility is to support Sales and Trading teams by providing pricing, structuring ideas, and market insights to strengthen client engagement and product penetration.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end product development process for interbank, OTC, and exchange-traded products tailored for trading strategies and client requirements.
- Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Design and implement bespoke financial solutions for hedging, funding, and investment purposes across global markets products.
- Provide competitive pricing and structuring support to Sales and Trading teams to drive product penetration and client engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure structured products meet regulatory, risk, and profitability objectives.
- Monitor and manage risk exposures related to structured products and ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks and market regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, agent banks, and strategic partners to support product development and funding requirements.
- Keep abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to identify new structuring opportunities.
- Assist in preparing financial budgets, business plans, and product development strategies for the division.
- Ensure compliance with BNM regulations, Bank policies, and Dealers Code of Ethics in all structuring activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Division / Department.
Requirements
A Degree (preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics or Mathematics)Certificate / License from Persatuan Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia.At least 5 years dealing experience in structuring, derivatives, or fixed income markets.Analytical and detail-oriented with strong quantitative aptitude.Posses good teamwork spirit and initiative.Creative problem solving ability to innovate under pressure.Self motivated and able to work independently.Excellent command of English.Strong technical knowledge of structured products, derivatives and treasury instruments.Proficiency in pricing models, risk management and product development.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and market conventions.Advanced IT skills – proficient user of MS Excel, Bloomberg, electronic trading platforms, trade capture systems and relevant structuring / pricing platforms.Seniority level
