Responsibilities
Apply machine learning techniques to automate and improve geospatial data processing and analysis. Develop models for applications such as palm detection, crop health monitoring, and predictive analysis. Develop and deploy
mobile GIS apps
for field data collection and decision support. Publish and maintain
web maps, layers, and dashboards
for various stakeholders. Manage
data pipelines
from desktop to web / mobile, including basic QA / QC and updates. Provide
user support and training , especially for field deployments and offline use. Collaborate with Agronomy / Operations / R&D to gather requirements and improve tools. Document configurations, workflows, and basic SOPs for sustainability. BASIC EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor / Masterof Science in GIS, Remote Sensning, Geography, Agriculture or Land Survey. Minimum 3 years relevant experience (GIS / mobile / web GIS). Strong with ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS Online); Enterprise / Portal experience is an advantage. Experience building or configuring Mobile Apps (e.g., Field Maps / Survey123 or similar). Comfortable with data management (geodatabases, web layers, permissions, basic metadata). Problem-solver, independent and collaborative, clear communicator. Willing to travel frequently and work in plantation / field environments. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Good written and oral communication skills for creating and presenting GIS reports. Proficient in Esri product ie : Arcgis Pro, Webmaps and Arcgis Online, Global Mapper Strong proficiency in Python for geospatial scripting and automation (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas) Familiarity with applying machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to spatial data processing and analysis. SQL expertise for database querying, management, and integration with geospatial data (e.g., PostgreSQL / PostGIS, SQL Server).
